Large Site with very clean facilities and brilliant management

A lovely camping site, with fantastic management. For (non hardy) campers such as myself, the very clean toilet facilities, hot showers, coffee shop (from 8am) and on site pizzas were very much appreciated. We pitched our own tent and found pitches to be large and well spaced out. The site is large and although we were a big group of 30, we had plenty space from other campers.

The Embers team living on site were lovely and made us all feel very welcome.
Embers felt like a very well run and organised facility, whilst still allowing space and freedom for the kids to run wild (and crucially without feeling like you were disturbing other campers). Would defintely recommend.

Highly Recommended

I went camping here with my two sons, who are four and two. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout, welcoming on arrival, pizza and draft beer both delicious and there was even an impromptu craft session set up to help me pack up the tent.

Yoga session and quiz night also looked really good. Despite all of this, it is such a spacious site it felt like proper camping and it would be great for a more wild camping approach if that was your thing. Thanks dudes.

Fantastic Campsite with Amazing Managers

Two families (4 adults and 4 children) stayed for 4 nights at the end of May 2024 and had an amazing time. Embers Bentely was such a friendly

The campsite managers Lucy, John and Hannah were amazing and so attentive in looking after everyone - they are a real credit to Embers. They organised a site quiz, kids ping pong competition and kids activites that we've never seen done anywhere before and it made the trip for the kids! It really helped bring everyone together and a great way for the kids to make friends.

The campsite has great amenities, well spaced pitches and is next to a miniture railway and a high ropes centre so lots to do. It's easy to visit barcombe Mills, Lewes or Uckfield (all 10mins drive away) so you can do as much or as little as you want.

In summary, had a great time and already planning to return again this year!

Great View, Quiet, Great Value

This was my first time camping so didn't really know what to expect.
We had a really nice time, the team were incredibly friendly and keen to help in any way. We took our canoe and access to the river was excellent.

I can definitely recommend the pizzas made on site along with the coffee.
The bell tent was superb with plenty of space. I'm very much looking forward to another visit and wish I hadn't left it so long to discover the joys of camping.

My warmest regards to the Embers team.

Best Campsite

This has to be one of the best camp sites in the UK. Camping on the bank of the Thames- east launch for kayaks and paddle boards. Really big pitches- super for families, and large groups.

Ablutions are tidy, clean- and showers are amazing! The team are always so friendly, helpful and make you feel like nothing is too much to ask!

First class site

Loved my recent stay at Embers Polesden Lacey, set in stunning tranquil grounds with excellent trails throughout the manor grounds with an added bonus of having free entry to house and the grounds.

The showers rooms were excellent and very clean, also the staff were very friendly and would highly recommend staying here.

The best ever

Literally one of the best campsites I've ever been to. Clean toilets and hot showers, a charging block for devices, a freeze for your cool blocks (!!!) and the nicest campsite manager you could ask for.

The national trust estate is so beautiful, and if you have kids, the playground and natural debris is fantastic. Wish I'd had time to do some of the surrounding walks!

Wonderful weekend camping at Polesden Lacey

Jess and the onsite staff were so friendly and welcoming and were always on hand if we had any questions. We were part of a group booking with two other families and were all pitched next to each other. We arrived on Friday evening and left Sunday morning. The facilities were great and always kept clean and tidy.

We pre-ordered the pizza's for the Friday night, which were cooked on time and were DELICIOUS!! The campsite is set in a beautiful picturesque location and you get free entry into Polesden Lacey, which was a lovely added bonus. We had a wonderful afternoon there on the Saturday. Plenty of room on the campsite for the kids to run around and play games. There is also a play park near by, which the kids loved!! There is an onsite shop that sells all the essentials like firewood and kindling (every pitch has their own fire pit), as well as various drinks and snacks.

All in all we had a fantastic weekend (and were so lucky with the weather), the children did not want to leave!! We would definitely recommend this campsite and hope to come back again in the near future.

Wonderful boutique campsite

Look no further, this is a brilliant campsite. The holy grail of beautiful grass meadow and surrounding woodland, which meant the children were happy to run around and play.

The campsite had a unique feel of a boutique place away from masses, details well considered.

The on-site coffee shop/snack bar made life very easy indeed for breakfast. Pizzas were made on site in the pizza oven and were delicious. There were flushing toilets, showers, charging station and a freezer for the mod cons. There’s also a sheltered area with table and benches in case the weather isn’t ideal which meant we didn’t need to put up the gazebo. All the amenities were near the camping area so no long treks to the toilet in the night.

Cars have to be parked away from the camping area but we were allowed to park next to tents to load and unload.

We were a large group and luckily had this gem of a campsite all to ourselves. The two guys in charge, Luke and Harry were brilliant. Always happy to help with anything and even entertained the kids. There was someone on-site all day till late evening to help out with any requests.

The local pub, the Cowdray Arms was nearby and served delicious and generously portioned food. The Grange Farm shop was also a good find for sourcing meat.

I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely Site

Absolutely lovely site and perfect for young kids to run around enjoying themselves. The staff are brilliant and made sure everyone was safe & secure during last weeks storm. Toilet huts were clean, showers warm and the pizza made on-site was awesome.

Great location. Minor improvement could be made in the sinks area by putting a roof/cover over them for the typical rainy British weather but it’s not the end of the world. 2nd time visiting the site and definitely will be back.
