Embers Camping is delighted to offer our campsite on the stunning river Thames just outside the town of Henley-On-Thames, world renowned for it's summer festivals and events.
The campsite is located beside the river Thames, making it the perfect destination for an action-packed river activities break, taking in the atmosphere of a nearby festival, or simply enjoying a fun filled stay with friends and family.
We love Henley, it's vibrant and has plentiful events during the summer! Our campsite is situated right on the waterfront and close to nearby festival locations, so expect some noise and atmosphere from a local event or festival during your stay.
New this season is table tennis - great for kids to play amongst each other! There is a large area in the centre of the site to play volley ball, game of football or cricket with the family. Embers always has space to enjoy, so come on and enjoy your summer. Or hire one of our paddleboards at £10/hr - what a treat to have all of this on site.
We want you to enjoy your stay at Embers just as nature intended, but that doesn’t mean going without clean facilities. All our bathrooms are kept meticulously clean and have flushing toilets and piping hot showers…a real comfort when you are camping.
All these facilities should leave you active, energised and refreshed at the end of the day - what are you waiting for?
New to Embers this year is selling chilled beer, wine and mixers such as G&T and Pimms. A great way to start your holiday with a cold beverage after a long journey.
Our famous stone-fired pizzas are freshly made on site and individually fired. Available via pre-ordering before you arrive on site - keep an eye out for an email for pre-orders, about 5 days before you arrive on site and sell out so book early.
Wake up in the morning and enjoy a cheese toastie or croissant from the Embers Snack Bar, which stocks all the drink & snack essentials - freshly ground barista coffee to super creamy ice-cream, snacks and ice-cold drinks essential for those hot summer days during your stay.
Whether you decide to enjoy the local walks, get out on the river or explore the surrounding area, our local onsite staff can help you find the very best of what Henley has to offer. As we are located beside the river Thames, please follow water safety advice for your family and friends here.
There is a lovely river walk into Henley which takes about 20 minutes from the campsite - a must to visit the local attractions and pubs!
There's plenty to see and do, including the world-renowned Henley River Regatta and the Re-Wind Festival.
Hire one of our paddleboards from £10/hr directly onsite and enjoy paddling around the Thames without the hassle of leaving the campsite! Buoyancy aids are included with the hire and can be hired separately if needed for your own paddlecrafts. No need to pre-book - first come first serve from the Embers Snack Bar.
Step back in time and wonder through the regal gardens set high above the Thames. With woodlands, secluded glades, tree-lined avenues, and acres of land to explore, Cliveden is a fantastic setting for a family picnic, or an afternoon spent in nature.
The best way to explore Britain’s most historic river is of course on the water! Hire a self-driven boat, join a public cruise, or a private charter. Hobbs of Henley have 150 years of experience and have the largest fleet of boats on the Thames.

The Angel on the Bridge - within walking distance, this pub sits right on the river, perfect for watching the boats pass by.
The Golden Ball - a 17th century pub with a large garden to enjoy during those hot summer days.
Flower Pot - serving traditional pub grub in amidst their eclectic collection of taxidermy.
