We want you to enjoy your stay at Embers just as nature intended, but that doesn’t mean going without clean facilities.
All our bathrooms are kept meticulously clean and have flushing toilets and piping hot showers…a real comfort when you are camping, leaving you refreshed and ready to take on the day ahead, but please don’t forget to bring your own towel, as these aren’t included.
There are large spaces for games and trails to explore - so bring a football and enjoy a kickabout with the family. Embers is a tent only site, so you can pitch your family tent on our generous pitch sizes or hire a 5m Bell tent, pre-pitched before your arrival with superior airbed options.
We also have The Embers Snack Bar serving coffees, delicious hot food, all your snack & drink essentials and plenty of wood for you campfire. Every pitch at Embers comes with its own fire basket for you to enjoy and can even be used to BBQ, with the addition of a tripod and grill. As dusk draws in, the atmosphere at Embers is really quite special as everyone gets their campfires going, you'll understand why camping is made magical at Embers!

Our Embers Turners Hill campsite is situated in the old Standinghall Estate which spans over 1000 acres of ancient woodland. Take in the beauty of a typical British forest where you can witness nature right on your tent's doorstep!
Explore the woods on foot or by bike, following the many trails dotted about the Estate, and see how many types of birds you can see. If you're really quiet, you might even catch a glimpse of a deer or two!
Challenge yourself and your family and tackle the obstacles high up in the trees surrounded by nature or enjoy zipping round the dirt tracks down below on the all-terrain electric segways.
Hire stand up paddleboards or sit on top kayaks and splash about on Ardingly Reservoir. You can also launch your own equipment for a small fee from their slipway. Bring a picnic and make a day of it or walk along the footpath and grab some lunch in Balcombe village!
Located in Tilgate Park, the nature centre is home to over 500 animals from all over the world, promising a fantastic day out for any animal lover. The zookeepers give daily talks and opportunities to even help feed some of the animals!
