5* all the way! Our family enjoyed every minute at Embers. It was so family friendly and the amenities were kept unbelievably clean. Never have we been somewhere that felt so welcoming, the kids could wander about safely with so much space and loved scampering up to the hut to say hello and chat to whoever was in there. Nights spent round the campfire, stargazing or chatting with other families that had pitched up. The whole team were fabulous too, nothing was too much trouble and by the end of our time they felt more like we had become family. I will recommend this site to anyone, oh and the pizza, it was delicious! Thank you all for making our holiday so memorable, it's not just a field, it's magic.

We stayed at Embers as a group of 5 families (mix of tents and tipis) and it was fantastic. Spacious layout, great facilities, and such friendly, helpful staff. The on-site pizza and snack shop were brilliant, and the free activities (yoga, bracelet-making, face painting) were such a lovely bonus. Perfect location for families — we’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful camping week with friends at Embers! The booking system was simple and smooth, and the service at the campground was outstanding. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. The facilities were spotless with excellent showers and toilets, couldn’t fault them at all. The location is perfect, Truly 10/10 for everything — highly recommended!

Everything about Embers was perfect for our group. The site itself is spacious and set in the most beautiful woodland with closeby wooded spaces for the kids to explore. The site facilities were fantastic. Clean toilets, warm showers, bins for rubbish and recycling, a fab onsite shop selling all sorts of essentials and snacks/drinks. There is a large open sided stretch marquee for shelter and socialising. And to top it off the welcome from the owners was amazing. Such kind and friendly guys who made us feel totally at home. We will 100% be back next year.

Had an excellent two night stay in multi-generational group. Very quiet with an extremely helpful site manager. Recommend the pizzas. Modern clean toilet and shower facilities. Many games and charging points.

We have just returned home from a 4 night stay at Embers and we were sad to leave!
First of all, the communication before arriving was great, with emails containing exact location, contact information and details of how to order freshly made pizzas. On arrival the managers were informative, friendly and welcoming. The pitch sizes are generous (our first year using our larger tent and we had more than enough room). The pitches are set in a huge circle around the field and after unpacking and setting up, there are no cars allowed on the field. This means it is completely safe for the children to play freely, ride bikes, play football etc. This was absolutely brilliant and made it a really relaxing setting knowing the kids were safe. The toilets and showers are spotless, cleaned regularly and it is amazing to have the sun shining through in the morning, whilst having a shower. It is the perfect balance between nature, mixed with a lovely hot shower! The washing up area and hand washing/teeth brushing is open air and the water was always hot for washing up. There is a volleyball net and a ping-pong table that the kids loved playing on. The shop is stocked with wood for the firepits and reasonably priced. And although we didn't have the pizza, it looked delicious.
There is a freezer to freeze your ice blocks and a USB charger for phones etc (such a good idea)! The biggest credit to this site are the staff, they were helpful, informative and were constantly working hard (especially in the heat we've just had) to keep the site clean, tidy and kept nicely.
Overall this was such a great holiday and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much, keep doing what you are doing. See you soon.

A lovely camping site, with fantastic management. For (non hardy) campers such as myself, the very clean toilet facilities, hot showers, coffee shop (from 8am) and on site pizzas were very much appreciated. We pitched our own tent and found pitches to be large and well spaced out. The site is large and although we were a big group of 30, we had plenty space from other campers.
The Embers team living on site were lovely and made us all feel very welcome.
Embers felt like a very well run and organised facility, whilst still allowing space and freedom for the kids to run wild (and crucially without feeling like you were disturbing other campers). Would defintely recommend.

I went camping here with my two sons, who are four and two. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout, welcoming on arrival, pizza and draft beer both delicious and there was even an impromptu craft session set up to help me pack up the tent.
Yoga session and quiz night also looked really good. Despite all of this, it is such a spacious site it felt like proper camping and it would be great for a more wild camping approach if that was your thing. Thanks dudes.

Two families (4 adults and 4 children) stayed for 4 nights at the end of May 2024 and had an amazing time. Embers Bentely was such a friendly
The campsite managers Lucy, John and Hannah were amazing and so attentive in looking after everyone - they are a real credit to Embers. They organised a site quiz, kids ping pong competition and kids activites that we've never seen done anywhere before and it made the trip for the kids! It really helped bring everyone together and a great way for the kids to make friends.
The campsite has great amenities, well spaced pitches and is next to a miniture railway and a high ropes centre so lots to do. It's easy to visit barcombe Mills, Lewes or Uckfield (all 10mins drive away) so you can do as much or as little as you want.
In summary, had a great time and already planning to return again this year!

This was my first time camping so didn't really know what to expect.
We had a really nice time, the team were incredibly friendly and keen to help in any way. We took our canoe and access to the river was excellent.
I can definitely recommend the pizzas made on site along with the coffee.
The bell tent was superb with plenty of space. I'm very much looking forward to another visit and wish I hadn't left it so long to discover the joys of camping.
